The Giant Race at Oracle Park

The Giant Race at Oracle Park

The Giant Race Run/Walk Series Presented by Alaska Airlines represents the perfect combination of running and baseball. With annual events held in Scottsdale, Sacramento, San Jose and San Francisco, the Series offers Giants fans fun and competitive opportunities at every level of professional baseball. The Series begins in Scottsdale during Spring Training, continues at Minor League facilities in Sacramento and San Jose, and ends on the field at Oracle Park with a 20,000-participant race on the flattest and fastest course in San Francisco.

Now in its 10th anniversary year, The San Francisco Giant Race has quickly become a city tradition alongside the city's other signature races, such as the Alaska Airlines Bay to Breakers 12K, and the San Francisco Marathon. This year, Giant Racers will get to wear the commemorative 10th anniversary logo on race apparel to help celebrate a decade of running.

Oracle Park will also play host to several special event celebrations throughout 2019, including a unique inside-the-park marathon, on Thursday,  Sept. 5. The 26.2-mile loop course will be the first full marathon on the West Coast to lap the warning track of a Major League Baseball stadium. Just 100 accepted participants will commit to raising a minimum of $3,500, and will be treated to a pampered post-race experience unparalleled in running. Proceeds from this new event will benefit the Giants Community Fund. For more information on the Inside the Park Marathon, click here.

Giant Racers this year will also have the opportunity to compete in the inaugural Lou Seal Challenge, which includes the Half Marathon followed by the 5K race and two sets of finishing medals.

Participants and non-runners alike can enjoy this annual event by attending the Giant Race Health & Fitness Expo, where live music, entertainment and food will be alongside vendor booths inside Oracle Park.
